LivHOME, Inc., has hired Chicagoan Cheryl Kuba as its new Manager of Professional Services for the Central and Eastern Regions. The new position brings additional depth to LivHOME's management team, and underscores its focus on professional care management.

In this new position, Kuba provides coaching, training and management support to the company's Care Management staffs in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Texas and Virginia. She is based in LivHOME's Skokie, Ill., office.

A Chicago resident with more than 20 years of industry experience, Kuba led a consulting firm that specialized in senior housing and elder services prior to joining LivHOME. During this time she served on the LivHOME Advisory Board. Earlier in her career, Kuba held management positions with senior housing providers and the Illinois Hospital Association.

A prolific author, Kuba has contributed to two books on caregiving and has a third scheduled for publication later this year. She is a frequent speaker at industry and professional events, and is president of the National Speakers Association, Illinois chapter.

Kuba has taught graduate-level courses on social work and the elderly at Dominican University, River Forest, Ill. She holds a master's degree in gerontology from Northeastern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree in communications from Western Illinois University.
