Cheryl Kuba joined LivHOME in 2009 as Manager of Professional Services, bringing to LivHOME more than 20 years of industry experience and a passion for improving the quality of life for older adults. Cheryl was promoted to Executive Director - Chicagoland market, in 2011.
Prior to joining LivHOME, Cheryl led a consulting firm that specialized in senior housing, care management and elder services. Earlier in her career, she held management positions with senior housing providers and the Illinois Hospital Association.
A prolific author, Cheryl has written three books on caregiving and has won several literary awards for her focus on care from the elder perspective. Her articles have been published in numerous national magazines, and an excerpt from one of her books was included in a national membership booklet for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She is a frequent speaker at industry and professional events, and is past president of the National Speakers Association, Illinois Chapter. In 2005 she was NSA-IL’s Humanitarian of the Year.
Cheryl is the former talk show host of Chicago’s Care Radio on NewsTalk 560 WIND.
She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, American Society on Aging, an advisory board member of Age Options and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
She holds a master’s degree in gerontology and a multidisciplinary certificate in case and care management. Cheryl served as an adjunct professor at Dominican University in River Forest, IL.
