Mande DeRome joined LivHOME, Inc. in 2006 as a Care Manager. Before joining the LivHOME team, Mande worked as a hospice social worker in Concord, California, as well as in Danvers, Massachusetts. 

Mande earned her master’s in social work, with honors, from Salem State College, in Salem, Massachusetts. Her concentration was on older adults and end-of-life care. Her thesis was entitled “Hospice workers’ knowledge and opinions about end-of-life decisions and public policy changes.” Previous to that, she received her bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of California at Davis in 2000. 

Mande has worked with older adults in various settings over the past eight years. In Massachusetts, Mande interned with Minuteman Senior Services in Adult Protective Services. Previous experience includes volunteering with Minuteman Senior Services, the Davis Senior Center, Sutter Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, and the Bay Area Crisis Nursery.

Mande is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers as well as the Social Work Honor Society. She has a master’s in social work (MSW) and is a Care Manager, Certified (CMC).
