Previously, Lisa worked as an emergency room (ER) nurse as well as a director of nursing. She dealt primarily with elderly patients, focusing on their needs while in the ER and ensuring a smooth transition from the hospital back to the patient’s living environment.

Lisa received her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Phoenix and has taught nursing at Metro State College in Denver, Colorado. In her capacity as a nurse educator for the emergency room, Lisa provided continuing education regarding age specific needs, for the geriatric population.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her six children and their families. She enjoys relaxing by creating jewelry made out of beads and wire. Lisa and her husband volunteer within her church and community. She also studies and works with essential oils as an alternative therapeutic solution.
