LivHOME Offers Webinar on Helping Families Care
for Seniors Living with Dementia 

ATLANTA, Sept. 25, 2012 – LivHOME Atlanta, a premier provider of professionally led at-home care for seniors, has announced it will be offering a free webinar on how to better help family caregivers understand and care for their seniors who have dementia. This webinar, open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. EST.

Steve Barlam, LCSW, MWS, CMC, the Chief Professional Officer and Co-Founder of LivHOME, Inc., will be leading the webinar entitled, “Helping Families Living with Dementia: Effective Strategies that Work.”

Barlam will offer insight on assisting seniors affected by dementia, a condition in which there is a gradual loss of brain function resulting in memory loss, confusion, changes in personality and behavior, and an increased reliance on others. Participants in the webinar can expect to learn:

• How to understand the difference between dementia and Alzheimer’s disease

Attains Certified Senior Advisor Designation 

ATLANTA, Sept. 21, 2012 – LivHOME Atlanta announced today that its owner and Executive Director Chris Foster has become a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA^®) after successfully completing the educational program and exam conducted by the Society of Certified Advisors^®, the world’s largest membership organization educating and certifying professionals who serve senior citizens.

By earning the unique CSA designation in the senior services industry, Foster has demonstrated his knowledge about aging, his ability to communicate effectively with seniors, and his knowledge about the important health, social and financial issues that affect them. He has pledged to follow the CSA Code of Professional Responsibility principles of competence, honesty, trustworthiness, fairness and professionalism. The Society of Certified Advisors requires CSAs to meet continuing education standards, guaranteeing that Foster will remain current and informed with issues facing the senior community today.
